It was a rather tall building and I accidentally went to high up in the elevator getting ready for the Easter egg hunt. I had been putting posters up all through the building. As soon as I got out of the elevator, I was stopped by the nurse and they explained why I could not enter the floor. I remember it being a clean, larger facility with a lot of land attached to it. In comparison to other facilities is was much more friendly and brighter. Though the surrounding neighborhood leaves something to be desired.

• Meets with clients regularly to provide counseling, treatment, and adjust treatment plans as necessary. Providing trained volunteer mentors with youth residents of Lydia Home who are aging out of the foster care program. Children and youth are supported in loving homes as their parents receive services with the goal of reunification. Maintain a positive working relationship with foster parents to provide support and encouragement for a high standard of care. • Complies with all pertinent state and federal laws, DCFS Rules and Procedures, and the Code of Ethics for Child Welfare Professionals.
Must be a qualified mental health professional and have a master’s degree or doctoral level degree from an accredited school of psychology or social work or an equivalent degree in a human services field. Must possess skills to work effectively with children and their families. Must demonstrate good writing and social skills in order to communicate and work cooperatively with members of the child care team and the various systems and agencies in the community.
